We changed several things from the original footage including:
- Camera angles - We chose to focus more on having more close up shots rather than a continueous shot.
- Editing - We preferred to have jump cuts rather than having it as a continueous shot as editing proved this to be boring and slow paced.
- Lighting - Originally our protagonist was sitting with her back to the window which meant her face was in shadow and so when it came to re filming I made her instead sit facing towards the window so that her face was in light. This looked much better from what we originally had and the scene wasn't so dim. Also, it made it easier to film as we could see the laptop screen better and without having to position the camera awkwardly.
We kept the costuming, mise en scene and plot the same however for the bedroom scene.
As well as this we had to add a small scene into our opening to cover that I forgot the bag prop for the shooting day in London. To cover this we thought that our protagonist should ditch her bag as it was a hassle. It fitted into the plot and seemed more realistic as she wouldn't have taken a bag to the riots however it was not necessary. It also made the transition better between the bedroom scene and to the tube scene.
